Erika’s love for fitness started as a young dancer, but grew as she danced professionally for the NBA. While dancing for the Chicago Luvabulls, she learned the importance of maintaining muscle strength and endurance for long rehearsals and high-energy games. She learned more about the mind-body connection, and how to move safely and more effectively to prevent injury.
Through her small business, Erika Mae Fitness, she currently conditions dance teams of universities and high schools to improve their dance skills and build endurance. She also teaches barre, strength and yoga sculpt at Midtown Athletic Club in Chicago and SALT Fitness in Bucktown.
Erika will be your biggest cheerleader in motivating you to keep finding your truest potential through movement. Her classes will leave you not only sweaty, but also encouraged, finding a positive physical, and mental change within yourself.
